Assoc. Prof. Dr. Atanas Georgiev is the Dean, Head of the Department "Industrial Economics and Management " and Director of the Net-Zero Lab at the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration, Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski", where he is responsible for the development of the Master's program "Energy Markets and Services" and the Master’s program “Nuclear Technologies, Management, and Innovations” (together with the Faculty of Physics). He also teaches courses at the Diplomatic Institute at the Bulgarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Atanas Georgiev has been Board Member at the National Committee of Bulgaria in the World Energy Council (2016 – 2024); at Industrial Cluster "Electric Mobility"; and at the Council for Innovation, Digitalization and New Technologies at the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. He has been energy restructuring consultant at Uconomics (2005 – 2009) and at "Public Services" (from 2010 until now). Assoc. Prof. Georgiev is also publisher and editor in chief of the business magazines "Utilities" and "Facilities".
