Massimo Francese has over 30 years of experience in the financial and banking sector. He joined UniCredit after his graduation and participated in a program for high potential graduates. During his professional development in the organization he managed the challenges in different managerial roles in the areas: planning, audit, organization, finance and others. In the period 2012-2016 he was appointed as CEO and Chairman of the Board of the company for consumer financing in Bulgaria - UniCredit Consumer Financing. In the next 4 years he was CFO of one of the top 5 banks in Turkey – Yapi Kredi. In the period from April 2020 until December 2023 he was CFO and Board Member of UniCredit Bank – Czech Republic and Slovakia. 

Massimo Francese has a degree in economics from the University of the Sacred Heart of Milan. He speaks Italian, English and Spanish.
