13th Annual Responsible Business Awards of the Bulgarian Business Leaders Forum: The Leadership Academy won first prize for Investment in Human Capital at the Responsible Business Awards

The award was given to Tsvetanka Mincheva, member of the Management Board of UniCredit Bulbank and of the Council of Women in Business in Bulgaria and supervisor of the Leadership Academy.

The Leadership Academy initiative of Unicredit Bulbank jointly with the Council of Women in Business in Bulgaria won the big award for Investment in Human Capital at the 13th Annual Responsible Business Awards of the Bulgarian Business Leaders Forum.

The award was given to Tsvetanka Mincheva, member of the Management Board of UniCredit Bulbank and of the Council of Women in Business in Bulgaria and supervisor of the Leadership Academy project. She received the prestigious award for responsible business from the Deputy Prime Minister and Labour and Social Policy Minister Ivaylo Kalfin. Tsvetanka Mincheva shared the award with the Chairwoman of the Council of Women in Business in Bulgaria Dr. Eng. Boriana Manolova, CEO of Siemens Bulgaria.

Among the official guests of the ceremony were the President of Bulgaria Rosen Plevneliev, the Deputy Prime Ministers Meglena Kuneva and Ivaylo Kalfin, the Mayor of Sofia Yordanka Fandakova, Her Excellency the British Ambassador to Bulgaria Emma Kate Hopkins, representatives of the business, the NGO sector, media, etc.

The Leadership Academy for women from small and medium-sized enterprises or ones at middle management positions is an annual highly professional training programme. Experienced trainers from Unicredit Bulbank conduct trainings at the Academy, which are focused on the development of leadership skills, encouragement of the proactiveness and entrepreneurial spirit of the modern woman for the expansion of her business and taking more responsibilities. This year an additional training based on the design thinking model was provided by SAP. The professional selection of the candidates is performed at the evaluation center of CEZ.

The Leadership Academy is under the patronage of the Mayor of Sofia Yordanka Fandakova. In only a few weeks she will award the diplomas to the graduates of class 2015/2016. The application campaign for Leadership Academy 2016/2017 will be open right after that.
