A second exhibition provides young artists with the opportunity to exhibit at the gallery of contemporary art, UniCredit Studio. From tomorrow everyone who wishes can see the works of fifteen young artists from Italy and Bulgaria.
The exhibition is entitled “Opposite together” and through their works all artists present the idea of “harmonizing opposites”. Works of different arts are exhibited at the gallery – painting, graphics, sculpture, frescoes, photography, stage design, architecture, sound design, graphic design, computer graphics, 3D design and literature.
In order to provide the opportunity for more exhibits to be shown, UniCredit Bulbank will open the exhibition simultaneously in two art spaces. These spaces are 11 Industrialna Gallery and UniCredit Studio which is located in one of UniCredit Bulbank’s branches in the center of Sofia, at 12 Knyaz Alexander I-st Str.
“UniCredit Bulbank is a humble facilitator of art events, trying to help, as much as we can, young artists who are not so well-known and to provide them and their works with the opportunity to be seen by as many people as possible,” said Levon Hampartzoumian, Chief Executive Officer of UniCredit Bulbank.
The curator of the “Opposite together” exhibition is Zorà Romanska and amongst the authors the name of the Italian ambassador in Bulgaria, H.E. Stefano Benazzo, stands out. Other participants exhibiting their works are Ivo Bistrichki, Rayko Baychev, Cosimo Bellanova, Gino Blanc, Simona Groshevska, Zoran Georgiev, Desislava Deneva, Natasa Korosec, Andrès David Carrara, Giorgio Merigo, Nikola Malinov, Zorà Romanska, Anna Tzolovska, Alexander Yuzev.
The latest gallery of contemporary art UniCredit Studio was opened in January this year. Bulgaria was selected out of over 20 European countries to host the first UniCredit Studio after the opening of the gallery in Italy.
The first exhibition at UniCredit Studio under the title “Bank of the Future” was presented in the beginning of this year. It was curated by Vera Mlechevska and was dedicated to the perceptions of time. Two of the four young artists were Bulgarian – Bora Petkova and Stanimir Genov. Apart from them, Agnieszka Kurant (Poland) and Keijiro Suzuki (Japan) also participated with their works created especially for the event.
The exhibition “Opposite together” will be open to the public from 3 to 26 May 2012, free admission.
