All advertising materials of UniCredit Bulbank will be printed on recycled paper

This initiative is yet another step forward in the Bank’s environmental policy

From this month on all advertising materials of UniCredit Bulbank – posters, flyers and brochures will be printed on recycled paper. This initiative is continuation of the Green Post Campaign for giving up the paper statements and their replacement with electronic statements. Green Post Campaign was started in March 2010 by the Chief Executive Officer of UniCredit Bulbank Levon Hampartsoumian, who stuck the last piece of the advertising poster to the building of UniCredit Bulbank on Sveta Nedelia Sq.

Business Communications Department of UniCredit Bulbank estimated that nearly 6 tons of paper annually are consumed for producing the advertising materials of the bank. Therefore, this eco-initiative will help for saving at least 102 trees and 8640 liters of oil, 24 000 kW/h electricity and 159 180 liters water annually.

“We worked very hard to implement this project, considering all major factors, which were our guidelines. This initiative is based on our desire to facilitate environment protection. For sure this change will not influence the quality of the printed advertising materials, which is top priority for us as advertisers. I would only add that the change of the paper type does not lead to raising the cost of the materials, which is very important for our shareholders” Miroslava Ivanova, Head of Business Communication Department , UniCredit Bulbank commented.

UniCredit Bulbank has been working on the policy of preserving the environment since 2008, when the Bank started its National green programme with planting of 400 dca forests near Stara Zagora and the refurbishment of an eco-path in Vitosha. In the course of the years UniCredit Bulbank refurbished the eco tourist path to the natural phenomenon Dyavolskoto Garlo cave in the village of Borino and provided funds for purchasing photo traps, which were assembled in several natural parks.
