Annual Forbes E-volution Awards 2013: UniCredit Bulbank receives the special award of Forbes magazine for e-banking

The e-banking of UniCredit Bulbank received the special award of the Bulgarian edition of the international Forbes magazine at the first annual ceremony of Forbes E-volution Awards. The e-banking of the bank includes the Internet banking Bulbank Online and the banking via mobile devices Bulbank Mobile. The authoritative magazine gathered together for the first time the whole digital market community in Bulgaria to distinguish the most innovative modern practices in the field of information technologies.

The award was presented late last evening by the chief editor of Forbes Bulgaria Mr. Yordan Mateev. At the event UniCredit Bulbank was represented by the Chief Executive Officer Levon Hampartzoumian, the Head of Retail Banking Pasquale Giamboi and Yulian Vlahov, Head of Alternative Channels in Retail Banking.

UniCredit Bulbank reports an increase of 65% in the number of users of the online banking Bulbank Online for the last year. This confirms the trend of a greater use of banking services via Internet or mobile devices. The online banking Bulbank Online to date has more than 230,000 clients, 70,000 of whom are using it daily.

The mobile application Bulbank Mobile, which was launched at the end of 2011 has around 19000 users. Bulbank Mobile is an innovative and easy to use application for mobile banking which has no analogue in Bulgaria. It provides clients with a convenient access to their accounts not only from their home or office but also when they are on the move. It can be used with all mobile operators and with more than 2000 models of widely used mobile phones using iOS, Adroid, Symbian, etc., operating system.

The mobile banking of UniCredit Bulbank allows to monitor and control movements and available funds on accounts – current, package, savings, deposit, credit and debit card accounts; to make money transfers in the country; to transfer funds from one account to another; to exchange currency; to repay the liabilities on loans and credit cards, etc.

Bulbank Mobile won the award for Best Technological Solution at the annual awards for online efficiency and marketing of Webit Bulgaria 2012.
