The second phase of the charity ultra-marathon “1000 km Balkan Charity Challenge” started today, 5th November. The runners started the race at 8:10 sharp in front of the Head Office of UniCredit Bulbank on 7 Sveta Nedelya Square. The Chief Operating Officer Andrea Casini wished good luck to the participants. “UniCredit Bulbank is one of the organizers of the marathon for a second consecutive year. The bank is honoured to support an initiative with such a noble cause – to raise funds in a new and different way in order to support different causes”, said Casini.

Bulgarian organizers of the ultra-marathon, apart from UniCredit Bulbank, are the Bulgarian Charities Aid Foundation and Runner Sports Club.
