Borislav Bangeev is the new Chief Risk Officer and Management Board Member of UniCredit Bulbank. The appointment of Borislav Bangeev as a member of the Management Board was approved by the BNB and the Supervisory Board of UniCredit Bulbank.

Borislav Bangeev replaced Teodora Petkova who was appointed as a Chair of the Management Board and Chief Executive Officer of UniCredit Bulbank at the beginning of May 2019.

Before taking up the post of Chief Risk Officer and member of the Management Board, Borislav Bangeev was a Global Head of Financial Institutions, Banks and Sovereigns  Credit Transactions (FIBS), Global Credit Transactions, UniCredit SpA. His responsibilities involved credit risk management of banks, non-banking financial intuitions and the portfolio of government bonds of UniCredit Group, including coordination of three hubs across UniCredit SpA, UniCredit Bank AG and UniCredit Bank Austria AG. He is a member of Group Transactional Credit Committee and Debt Capital Markets Commitment Committee.

Borislav started his career at the Bank as a Retail Monitoring Manager, Risk Division after an internship at Consumer Loans and Product Development departments.  From October 2017 until May 2010 he held the position of Credit Policy, Products and Procedures Manager at UniCredit Bulbank. In May 2010 he began to build an international career at UniCredit S.p.A. as a Business Manager, FIBS & Trading Credit Risk in Munich, Germany where he actively  supported the implementation of a group-wide centralised approach in credit risk management of this segment. In May 2012 he became a vice president and Business and Change Manager of Group Trading Risk in Milan Italy. He gained invaluable experience in market risk thanks to the projects for the implementation of group-wide internal models for market risk and credit risk assessment in transactions in derivatives. In September 2013 he returned to FIBS, developing further his expertise and gradually taking up management positions such as Head of Home Markets Desk and since March 2016 – first vice president and Head of FIBS Underwriting. In October 2017 Borislav Bangeev became a Global Head of Financial Institutions, Banks and Sovereigns Credit Transactions (FIBS) at UniCredit S.p.A., managing a team of more than 100 professionals across three Group companies, responsible for credit underwriting, lending, monitoring and special credit management of this important segment of institutional clients. Borislav has a master's degree in Finance and Banking awarded by Sofia University Kliment Ohridski.
