UniCredit Bulbank is one of the banks, which from November 4th will serve customers with guaranteed deposits. This is in compliance with an agreement signed with the Deposit Guarantee Fund. UniCredit Bulbank will serve the depositors with guaranteed deposits, whose last digits of the Personal Number for the individuals and the Uniform Identification Code (UIC), respectively, for the legal entities are 5 or 6.
In order to provide maximum convenience for the customers and clients, the deposits can be received at 43 branches of UniCredit Bulbank in 29 towns and cities in Bulgaria.
In Sofia, six branches have been designated. The complete list of branches, their addresses and opening times will be available to all stakeholders at the official website of UniCredit Bulbank. The payment of the deposits will take place on the working days of the week.
Special organization will be in place at the bank to ensure a smooth service. 270 employees will be in charge of the payment of the guaranteed amounts and all of them are well trained and are able to assist anyone without disruption of the normal operation of the designated 43 branches.
The payment of deposits will be made in accordance with the Law on Bank Deposit Guarantee, according to which all accounts in CCB are guaranteed: fixed-term accounts, demand deposits, savings accounts, deposit accounts – with or without a fixed term, current accounts, balances on debit cards and other products classified as deposits pursuant to the law. All deposits will be paid out in BGN. Deposits that had been opened in a foreign currency will be paid out according to the BNB exchange rate on the initial day of payment. The amount of the deposit to be paid out is determined entirely by the Deposit Guarantee Fund.
In order to pay out the deposit to the customers and clients, an identification document must be presented and at the branch of UniCredit Bulbank a declaration must be signed to declare absence of circumstances leading to exclusion from the guarantee. Customers and clients can receive their legally guaranteed amounts also through an authorized person, which requires an explicit power of attorney certified by a notary for such purpose. A list of all required documents will be published on the website of the bank.
