CEO of UCB Tzvetanka Mintcheva Heads the MB of the Council of Women in Business in Bulgaria

Tzvetanka Mintcheva, CEO and Chair of the Management Board of UniCredit Bulbank, is the new Chair of the Management Board of the Council of Women in Business in Bulgaria (CWBB). Her candidacy for Chair of the Management Board of the most successful women’s business organization was voted unanimously at the General Assembly of the Organization held on 15 June.

The former Chair of the Management Board of the CWBB Dr. Eng. Boryana Manolova, CEO of Siemens Bulgaria, North Macedonia and Ukraine, fulfilled this role since the very establishment of the organization.  Now, after the end of her second term of office, she will continue to be part of the management team of the CWBB in order to ensure continuity. 

Two other ladies, who are prominent professionals – Dora Strezova-Nikolova, Executive Director of Coca-Cola Bulgaria and Dr. Rumyana Valkanov, Chair of the Board of Directors of Energy MT EAD, join as new members of the Management Board of the CWBB.

In front of all the current and new members of the Council, I am committed to working for the success of our organization and, above all, for the idea behind its creation, namely — promoting women’s leadership, which benefits the whole society and is the necessary ingredient for our economy to move forward", commented Tzvetanka Mintcheva.  “Together with the entire Council team – our Administrative Director, the members of the Management Board and all volunteers from the working groups, we will continue to develop the already well-established initiatives such as BASE, Leadership Academy, the National Internship Program and will develop brand new ones such as our joint initiative with the EIB — our National Awards for Inspirational Achievements for Diversity, Equality and Inclusion,” she added.

Boryana Manolova.  

 

About Tzvetanka Mintcheva

Tzvetanka Mintcheva has over 20 years of experience in UniCredit Bulbank.  She started her career at the bank as an intern in 2001. Over the years, she held various commercial and managerial positions.  She was responsible for the design and development of the alternative channels in the bank.  In September 2013, she became Head of Retail Banking and member of the Management Board of UniCredit Bulbank. She has made a significant contribution and has played a fundamental role in the development of the retail banking business, introducing innovations in different areas within the bank. In 2017, Tzvetanka became Head of Global Banking Services and successfully implemented many strategic and transformational projects. From March 2020 until June 2021, she was Deputy Chief Executive Officer of UniCredit Bank Romania.  She holds a degree in Economics and an MBA degree in International Business from MIB School of Management in Italy.
