Clients of UniCredit Bulbank who pay by card in Technopolis will receive a gift worth up to 10% of the amount of the purchased goods

The aim is to encourage the use of credit and debit cards as means of payment

UniCredit Bulbank and Technopolis chain stores launch a promotional campaign together. For each payment by debit or credit card of the bank, made by 8 March at a POS terminal in any of the chain stores, amounting to over BGN 400, the client receives a Technopolis gift card worth between 8 and 10% of the value of the purchased goods.

The gift card may be used for the purchase of other goods in Technopolis stores from 15 March to 15 June 2012. For example, if clients purchase goods worth between BGN 400 and 499, they will receive a gift card worth BGN 40, if they purchase goods worth between BGN 500 and 599, the gift will be worth BGN 50, etc.

If the client chooses to purchase goods which cost more than what the gift card is worth, they can pay the difference.

“In addition to all the other advantages offered by shopping with a card – the opportunity to have funds readily available anywhere and at any time, through this campaign we also make a very generous offer to clients, together with our partners from Technopolis, giving them the gift of 10% worth of the payment they have made”, said Tsvetanka Mincheva, Deputy Director of Retail Banking Division in UniCredit Bulbank.

“Payments by bank cards marked growth over the last year. According to VisaEurope data as of the third quarter of 2011 the number of Visa cards issued in the country increased by 9% compared to 2010, while the volume of payments by Visa cards – by 12%. The volume of payments at POS terminals with merchant outlets marks an even more significant growth rate – 29%. There is also an increase in the average amount spent using a single card – while for the last quarter of 2010 it was BGN 354, for the third quarter of 2011 it reached BGN 383,” explained Mariana Velichkova-Chausheva, Head of Cards Deparment in UniCredit Bulbank.
