The Supervisory Board of UniCredit Bulbank has today approved the appointment of Tzvetanka Mintcheva as a new Chairperson of the Management Board and CEO of UniCredit Bulbank, subject to approval by Bulgarian National Bank and official registration in the Trade Registry.
After receiving all regulatory approvals and entering in the company file of the bank in the Trade register, Tzvetanka Mintcheva will formally start the new position.
Tzvetanka Mintcheva, currently Deputy CEO in UniCredit Bank Romania, will replace Teodora Petkova, who in the beginning of May was appointed as a Head of UniCredit with responsabilities for Eastern Europe - Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Romania and Serbia, and joint responsibility for Russia. Until the registration of the appointment of Tzvetanka Mincheva in the Trade register, Teodora Petkova will execute both the positions, as a Chairperson of the MB, Chief Executive Officer of UniCredit Bulbank and as a Head of UniCredit for Eastern Europe.

Tsvetanka Mintcheva
Tzvetanka Mintcheva started her career at UniCredit in 2001, in the Retail Division of Bulbank Bulgaria, moving through a wide range of roles during her early years, from various execution and managerial functions within the Retail network and head office team. Since 2007, Tsvetanka has been involved in the coordination and development of alternative distribution channels, being recognized for her significant contribution and the introduction of innovations in Retail and other areas of the bank.
In September 2013, she was appointed to lead the Retail Division, becoming a Board Member, and in 2017, she took over the GBS Division within UniCredit Bulbank coordinating the delivery team of the largest Bulgarian bank and successfully implementing multiple strategic and transformation projects.
Since July 2020, she holds the position of Deputy CEO of UniCredit Bank Romania. Tzvetanka Mintcheva has a degree in economics and an MBA in international business.
