UniCredit is a global partner of the latest film of the Oscar winner, Giuseppe Tornatore

Diplomats, actors and businessmen were among the guests of the elegant gala premiere of the latest film of Giuseppe Tornatore, The Best Offer, last night at Cinema City Paradise, Sofia. The event took place with the support of the Italian Cultural Institute and UniCredit, a global partner of the film. The European financial group is represented in our country by one of the largest banks in the country, UniCredit Bulbank.

Thanks to the partners of the gala premiere for the first time there was also a special exhibition “The Art of Tornatore” showing working and film photos from “The Best Offer.” The exhibition is on display at UniCredit Studio Gallery from today until the end of August.

Guests at the exquisite cocktail reception were welcomed by Mrs. Anna Amendolagine, Director of the Italian Cultural Institute in Bulgaria and by Mr. Andrea Casini, Deputy Chairman of the Management Board and Chief Operating Officer of UniCredit Bulbank.

Along with numerous projects supporting Bulgarian-Italian relation in the field of culture UniCredit Bulbank pays ever more special attention to the art of cinema. As a banker of long standing and holder of the “Banker of the Year” award, at the gala premiere of “The Best Offer” Mr. Andrea Casini turned also into an advisor of the young Bulgarian director Niki Iliev for the shooting of his second full length film “Live legends” in which Orlin Pavlov plays the role of a bank employee. The film also features Sania Borisova and Lyubomir Kovachev who were also among the guest at gala premiere of “The Best Offer”

For the film “The Best Offer”

The latest joint production of the successful Italian team of many years, Giuseppe Tornatore and Ennio Morricone who is the creator of the soundtrack of “The Best Offer”, will be released in cinemas in the country on Friday, 26 July. In the new motion picture whose script is also by Tornatore attracted talented Austrian Geoffrey Rush (Pirates of the Caribbean, The King’s Speech), in the role of the Virgil Oldman – a loner, devoted to art and collection of art. His partners on the screen are Donald Sutherland (Hunger Games, The Italian Affair), the Dutch actress, Sylvia Hoeks who won the award for an emerging young actress at Berlinale 2011 and Jim Sturgess (Cloud Atlas, One Day).
