  By the end of the year over 100 of the ATMs from UniCredit Bulbank’s network will allow people to make contactless cash withdrawals and payments of bills. Currently the bank has 30 contactless ATMs located in Sofia, Plovdid, Varna, Shumen, Vratsa, Blagoevgrad, Panagyurishte, Balchik and Sozopol. By the end of the month such ATMs will be put into service in other towns as well, like Tsarevo, Botevgrad, Svoge, Novi pazar and Kostinbrod.
  
  At the contactless ATMs of UniCredit Bulbank people can perform transactions with all contactless bank cards – VISA, MasterCard, etc., regardless of which bank issued them. What this means is that clients can withdraw cash, pay their bills, make transfers and deposits, etc. The only operation which can’t be performed without contact, due to technical requirements, is changing the PIN code. 
  
  The experts at UniCredit Bulbank say that withdrawing cash at contactless ATMs is much quicker and safer and they recommend that card-holders take advantage of this opportunity whenever it is available to them. Contactless cash withdrawals are quicker and safer which is why the bank has initiated an intensive campaign to install these innovative ATMs at its most busy locations in the big cities and the Black Sea Coast. 
  Whenever a person performs an operation at a contactless ATM the card is placed at a specially designated area for just a short amount of time (view the demo video) after which the card can immediately be put away, which helps avoid the risk of forgetting it at the ATM. What’s more, contactless cash withdrawals eliminate the danger of a person having their card skimmed or having the ATM swallow it.
  As one of the most innovative banks in Bulgaria, UniCredit Bulbank was amongst the first institutions, which actively began offering their clients contactless cards and at present more than 93% of all issued cards are contactless. 
  The experts at the bank remind clients that during the holiday season they should remain vigilant and they should follow the tips for safely withdrawing cash at an ATM. UniCredit Bulbank would also like to point out that all of its clients, who were issued contactless credit or debit cards and who have mobile banking, can take advantage of the latest function – blocking and activating cards – without charge.
