UniCredit Bulbank sets out to publish a series of expert articles about the world of finance in its corporate blog and its digital channels – Facebook, Twitter etc. – on the topic Finance for non-experts: practical ideas for smart money management.
Since January, traditionally a month for evaluations and new resolutions, the Bank has focused its efforts on providing useful information in plain language. Money: start fresh from January 2016 was the opening article of the series.
"We are working with over one million clients in Bulgaria and over 50 million in UniCredit Group worldwide. This wide base gives us the opportunity to observe the best practices for money management. Simultaneously we are witnessing the most common mistakes which could easily be avoided. We have tens of thousands of followers in the social media. Therefore we will use these channels to provide practical advice for free. Our purpose is to make these observations and best practices useful to a larger range of people, regardless of whether they are clients of the bank or not", the Bank has commented.
According to experts the topic of financial knowledge being accessible to a wider group of people is yet more important because nowadays not only licensed professional institutions, such as commercial banks, but also many non-financial companies offer financial services. The banks themselves, and the economies as a whole, will benefit from such higher level of financial culture of the people and of their ability to make informed decisions.
In its series "Finance for non-experts", UniCredit Bulbank will publish short, practical and easy to follow advice for adequate management of personal finance, optimization of expenses and precise planning of the family budget.
These specialized materials will be aimed not only at individuals, but also at owners of small and medium businesses, for whom there will be a series of expert articles too.
With its thematic series the Bank will answer in plain language frequently asked questions such as: how to manage efficiently our personal budget, what is a budget, what is compound interest, how to invest, why is it important to have savings and many more.
Although academic language will be intentionally avoided in the articles, the information in them will still be mathematically precise and accurate. This will be achieved through use of available materials and lectures about personal finance by professors from the world's most prestigious universities (correctly cited).
Previous articles about personal finance with which we measured the interest in such professional but accessible content have already received positive feedback from readers. Among them in the blog of the Bank are articles such as: Why we should use bank cards instead of cash , or Five symbolic quotes from Star Wars which may help you get richer“.
