UniCredit & Universities Foundation gives 25 scholarships to students for education abroad

The young people will be able to choose the school by themselves and study there for 3 to 6 months.

UniCredit & Universities Foundation gives 25 scholarships for BA and MA students to study abroad for 3 to 6 months. The young people will be able to choose among schools in the countries where UniCredit operates – Austria, Azerbaijan, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Poland, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Turkey and Ukraine.

The candidates for education in foreign countries must be at least in their second year of studies of economics, finance, banking, management or law in any of the countries of the UniCredit network. Furthermore, the university where the candidate is studying needs to have an exchange agreement with the receiving institution.

The scholarships provided by UniCredit & Universities Foundation are for a maximum of 6 months in the period January 2016 – March 2017. Those who win financing for education abroad will receive 700 euro for the entire period of stay in the foreign country and further 1,000 euro for a visa, travel and other expenses.

The application deadline is 15th November 2015, and the 25 winners will be announced on 15th December 2015. Scholarship applications can be submitted only online through the website of UniCredit & Universities Foundation.

Since 2013, four Bulgarian universities have been partners to UniCredit & Universities Foundation. These are Sofia University St. . Kliment Ohridski, the University of National and World Economy, the University of Insurance and Finance, the Economic Academy Dimitar A. Tsenov.

UniCredit & Universities Foundation, which was created in 2009, provides annual scholarships and specializations abroad to talented students in the total amount of over 200,000 euro. Scholarships are available also to students from other universities in Bulgaria if their interests fall in the areas of economics, political and social sciences.

The foundation offers scholarships in three main lines: support for education, for research, as well as for carrying out of scientific workshops. Further information is available on the website of the Foundation.
