Global Finance magazine has named the World’s Best Emerging Markets Banks in Central & Eastern Europe in an exclusive survey to be published in the May 2016 issue. The best bank in Bulgaria for 2016 is named UniCredit Bulbank.
Global Finance editors—with input from industry analysts, corporate executives and banking consultants—selected the best emerging markets bank in the region and in 21 countries. Criteria for choosing the winners included growth in assets, profitability, strategic relationships, customer service, competitive pricing, and innovative products.
“We do not aim to honor the biggest banks. We aim at finding those, which overcome their competitors with a vision for development and strength in the respective markets. The world’s banks continue to deal with a number of headwinds—including geopolitical risk, volatile economic and market conditions and still-changing regulatory regimes. We honor those banks that have the deepest commitment to the markets in which they operate and understanding of the specific needs of customers based in those markets.” said Joseph D. Giarraputo, publisher and editorial director of Global Finance.
In the last year UniCredit Bulbank is the bank number one in terms of assets, business and domestic credits, deposits for companies and individuals, equity and others. The sustainable business model is completed with systematic focus on investments in developing innovations for the customers.
