UniCredit Bulbank was named “Best Bank in Bulgaria for 2010” in the traditional survey of the international specialized edition Global Finance (www.gfmag.com). Global Finance’s editors, with the help of advisers and experts from the banking and the financial sector named the winners in the various countries after the following criteria: assets growth, profit, startegic relations with customers, service level, prices and product innovation.

Global Finance’s Best Bank survey was held for 17th year in a row. It covers the countries in Central and Eastern Europe, Asia, the Near East and Africa and Latin America.

We remain in an unusually challenging environment both for banks and for their clients”, Global Finance’s issuer Joseph Jaraputo, commented. More than ever customers seek and require competence from their bank partners, he thinks. “And it is banks that provide it”, Jaraputo said, taking into account the winner banks for the various countries.

The detailed results from the survey will be published in May Edition of Global Finance, and the awarding ceremony will take place on 9 October 2010 in Washington.

In addition to the recognition from Global Finance, UniCredit Bulbank won the prises “Best Bank in Bulgaria” of Euromoney and “Bank of the Year” of The Banker magazine during the latest bestowing of these awards for 2009.
