Paquale Giamboi was named Cavaliere dell'Ordine della Stella d'Italia in an official ceremony at the Italian Embassy in Bulgaria. The title was granted by the President of Italia Sergio Mattarella and presented to Giamboi by H.E. Giuseppina Zarra, ambassador of Italy in Bulgaria.

Pasquale Giamboi currently holds the positions of a member of the Supervisory board of UniCredit Bulbank in Bulgaria, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of UniCredit Bank in Romania and Chairman of the Supervisory Board of UniCredit Bank Banja Luka. 

“With his experience and his commitment assisting Italian economic operations and entrepreneurs abroad he has contributed significantly to the protection and promotion of the Italian interests and investments abroad”, states the motivation of the high honor.

I will continue to bring my enthusiasm, professionalism and the spirit of Bologna, my hometown, in the countries where I work”, Pasquale Giamboi commented upon receiving the Order of the Star of Italy. Bologna is known for its rich cultural, academic and historical heritage, and being the city of the Oldest University in the western world.

Pasquale Giamboi has over 40 years of experience in the banking industry. During his career he has held numerous executive management roles as a member of the Board of Directors and member of the Supervisory board of numerous banks and non-banking organizations within and outside UniCredit in Italy, Germany, Austria, Ukraine, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Slovenia, Romania, and Bulgaria.
