Unique exhibition comprising one hundred works of art from Italian Farnesina Palace Collection Shown in Bulgaria until End of June
Italian Ambassador Gian B. Campagnola and Minister of Culture Stefan Danailov last night opened officially the Journey through Italian Art exhibition, presenting one hundred works of art from the Farnesina Collection. The exhibition is shown in the refurbished halls of the National Gallery of Foreign Art until end of June with the support of UniCredit Group and Enel. More than 200 guests, including high-ranking diplomats, politicians, businessmen and media highly appreciated this unique traveling exhibition in Europe.
The works of art belong to the modern Italian art collection which is kept at the Farnesina Palace, a seat of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The pictures and sculptures are from the period 1950-80 and have famous authors like Burri, Fontana and Vedova, the School of Piazza Del Popolo in Rome and of Manzoni and Castellani in Milan.
UniCredit Group and UniCredit Bulbank in Bulgaria are Art’s traditional partners. Even the Group’s main values - Fairness, Transparency, Trust, Respect, Freedom and Reciprocity – are represented in Permanent Exhibitions in the Offices of UniCredit Bulbank. In Bulgaria there have been exhibitions of Andrea Manetti, Rumen Statkov, Krassimir Trendafilov and Ilko Nikolchev, said at the opening Levon Hamparzumian, Chief Executive Officer of UniCredit Bulbank.
For Enel social responsibility is a synonym of stability and the ability to maintain the balance of the three responsibilities: economic, environmental and social.
At the opening of the exhibition Enrico Viale, Enel’s Regional Manager for South-Eastern Europe said: “We are proud to contribute for this important exhibition to be seen by more and more people. Enel supports such initiatives as we truly believe in the inter-cultural exchange as a means for integration. That is why we assisted in the staging of the magnificent Thracians’ Gold Exhibition last year in the Quirinale Palace in Rome. In 2004 we supported the visit of La Scala of Milan to Bulgaria and last year we were a general sponsor of Lily Ignatova’s spectacle – The Legend. Today it is again a great pleasure to assist in the popularization in Bulgaria of this wonderful exhibition of modern Italian art.”
