The awards are under the patronage of the Bulgarian EU Commissioner Kristalina Georgieva
TV commercial "True Heroes – My Personal Banker" of UniCredit Bulbank received the highest award for building a positive image of women in advertising and marketing in the competition of the European Parliament Information Office in Bulgaria.
The award was handed, at the end of last week, to Mr. Andrea Casini, deputy chairman of the Management Board and Chief Operating Officer of UniCredit Bulbank, by Zinaida Zlatanova, Head of the European Commission Representation in Bulgaria.
The award is organized by the European Parliament Information Office in Bulgaria in cooperation with the European Union MPs Mrs. Maria Gabriel and Dr.Antonia Parvanova, members of the European Parliament's (EP) Women's Rights and Gender Equality (FEMM) Committee. The award is under the patronage also of Kristalina Georgieva, member of the European Commission.
Based on the “True Heroes” concept of UniCredit Bulbank, the awarded video called “Wine cellar” presents a true story with one of the bank’s customers. In the role of a personal banker we see a colleague from the bank. She was selected at an open casting call among more than 100 bankers. The difficult final selection was made by the director of the video.
“There are around 70% ladies working at UniCredit Bulbank and many of them are managers in key job positions. For us, it is a still greater honor to receive this recognition by the European Parliament Information Office namely because it corresponds to the reality in the bank. UniCredit Bulbank is developing various programs aimed to support the ladies at the bank in their career growth but also to ensure a balance between the personal and the professional life“, said Andrea Casini.
“I remember there was a discussion on “a man or a woman in the role of the personal banker“. Eventually we decided that there is no particular need to follow stereotypes and that we can show things just as they are in real life – the greater part of the colleagues at the bank in this job position are women so the personal banker in our first commercial for the small business this year was a woman“, commented Kiril Bachvarov, Head of Business Communications Department of UniCredit Bulbank.
In the same category for an advertising campaign that builds a positive image of women in advertising, the advertising video of UniCredit Bulbank for Deposit on Hand “True Heroes–My Mother” was also nominated.
