“Little heroes become great when friends help them. We are proud to be among these friends,” said the Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Management Board of UniCredit Bulbank in relation to the Little Heroes initiative.

The project was initiated by America for Bulgaria Foundation in partnership with UniCredit Bulbank.  The goal is modernization and new design of  the already renovated interior of the children’s ward at the University Multi-profile Hospital for Active Treatment and Emergency Medicine “Pirogov”.

The initiative is also supported by the great Bulgarian sports hero Grigor Dimitrov.

“A smile is sometimes more helpful than medicines. Together with Grigor, we can create a friendly, positive and, most importantly, a truly healing environment in the children’s ward at Pirogov Hospital,” shared the organizers from America for Bulgaria. 

Anyone who would like to help “Little heroes” become reality can send a text message DMS PIROGOV to 17 777 that costs 1 BGN for all Bulgarian mobile operators.  America for Bulgaria Foundation will double the donations. 

The Little Heroes project is an example of how different organizations can unite in the name of a good cause that is beneficial to the entire community.  The non-governmental sector, responsible business and citizens can achieve a lot when working together.  The campaign was designed in such a way that it was launched with partners already involved in its realization, including UniCredit Bulbank, but is completely open to new ones who would like to join, such as private companies and non-governmental organizations.
