The musical event of the year, organized by UniCredit Bulbank and Plovdiv Municipality to take place on 19 September

UniCredit Bulbank and Plovdiv Municipality will host one of the most important musical events for the year – the concert of the Milano Philharmonic Orchestra of La Scala. The event is part of the traditional Plovdiv Autumn Art Saloon.

The international symbol of the Italian musical culture, as frequently critics name La Scala’s Philharmonic Orchestra, will give a performance in the unique atmosphere of the Ancient Theatre in Plovdiv on 19 September 2008.

Within two hours all 600 guests of UniCredit Bulbank will be able to enjoy the emotions of the musical pieces of world famous composers like Chaikovski, Pucini and Verdi, re-created brilliantly by Maestro Dmitryi Kitaenko.

This is the second visit at the invitation of UniCredit Bulbank of the elite musicians. The Philharmonic Orchestra gave an inspiring performance in the National Palace of Culture in Sofia in March 2004.

According to information of Plovdiv Municipality nearly all 1500 tickets for the concert for free sale have already been sold out. The revenues for more than TBGN 25 will be donated for purchase of instruments for the children of the Dobrin Petkov National School for Music and Dance Art in Plovdiv.

Over the last 25 years La Scala, which successfully presents the best of the musical heritage in Europe, has given performances in more than 40 countries.

UniCredit Bulbank traditionally supports value projects in the field of culture and art. These include the exclusive partnership to the first concert of the Youth Orchestra of the European Union in Bulgaria, the presentation in Bulgaria of the unique collection of pictures from the Farnesina Palace, 2008 Season of the European Musical Festival and others.
