UniCredit Bulbank’s Mobile Banking moves the bank branch to the pocket of each customer

The Bank relies on the development of the new service which offers convenience and saves time to users;

Bulbank Mobile is accessible at over 1,200 devices.

UniCredit Bulbank gives an opportunity to its clients to manage their funds everywhere and at any time, with their mobile phone. The Bulbank Mobile service, which the Bank started offering completely free-of-charge, in practice moves the bank branch to the pocket of each client with a mobile phone.

“We start the most modern and the most advanced mobile banking platform”, UniCredit Bulbank’s Levon Hampartzoumian commented.

“We developed Bulbank Mobile“, we put a lot of efforts and made a huge investment in offering our clients easy-to-use mobile banking, because we believe that this is the future of our business“, said Pasquale Giamboi, Head of Retail Banking Division of UniCredit Bulbank. He explained that in many West-European countries mobile banking marks a much bigger growth compared to online banking. This tendency, according to experts, may lead in the future to the mobile banking distribution’s getting ahead of electronic banking.

“Currently 95% of our clients are serviced in the branches and in the next years we expect their share to drop down to 75% and the rest of them to bank on the phone“, Giamboi added.

Mobile banking ensures direct 24-hour access to the accounts of the clients via the mobile device. The Bulbank Mobile application is compatible with over 1,200 devices, the only condition being for the phone to have access to the internet. The new technological solution also operates on Java-supporting mobile phones, and there are also special versions developed for the holders of iPhone, Android and Blackberry.

“Via Bulbank Mobile clients will be able to check the movements on their accounts and their credit cards, the foreign exchange rates and other. It is even more important that they will be able to make payment orders, internal banking payments, to exchange foreign currency and to perform various operations. Via their phone they will be able to also receive personal messages and news from the Bank. Gradually many more functionalities will be activated“, Deputy Head of UniCredit Bulbank’s Retail Banking Division Tzvetanka Mintcheva explained.

Bulbank Mobile is based on a platform already used in one bank part of UniCredit – Zagrebachka bank in Croatia. Currently the Group implements it in 6 other countries from Central and Eastern Europe.

In addition to all other advantages, Bulbank Mobile will give an opportunity of the bank customers using it to pay lower fees and commissions compared to the transfers ordered on paper carrier.

“Electronic banking growth with 40% per year, and for mobile banking we expect even bigger growth considering that we start from practically zero“, Mintcheva said.

How to activate “Bulbank Mobile“
