Seaescape from reality in the heart of Sofia

The “Seaescape” exhibition by Kaloyan Iliev – Kokimoto was opened officially at UniCredit Studio, located at 7, Sveta Nedelya Square in Sofia. The exhibition won the special award of Stoyan Kambarev Foundation in 2011 and can now be seen in the space for contemporary art UniCredit Studio.

“With the Seaescape exhibition I am demonstrating contemporary marine art. What is different in this exhibition is that I am drawing directly on nautical navigation maps. Those have been kindly provided by the Hydrographic Office of the British Admiralty.   In addition, two sculptures, which are reminiscent of the sea are also exhibited here. I would like to thank Stoyan Kambarev Foundation and UniCredit Studio for giving me the opportunity to present an exhibition, which I have been working on for over 8 years now”, said the author of “Seaescape” Kaloyan Iliev – Kokimoto.

“It is a great pleasure to open this exhibition by Kokimoto. Besides taking us to the sea, it also exemplifies our aim at UniCredit Studio – to present young, creative and provocative authors who speak through art“, said Teodora Petkova, Chairperson of the Management Board and Chief Executive Officer of UniCredit Bulbank.

The “Seaescape” exhibition will run until the 19th June and will be open to visitors on weekdays from 10 am to 7 pm, and on Saturdays from 11 am to 6 pm at UniCredit Studio ( 7, Sveta Nedelya Square, on the left side of the entrance of the head office).
