The Battle for UniCredit PGA Professional Championship of Europe 2012 Now On

The pursuit of the coveted Passport to Pravets is now underway in the national PGA qualifications across Europe and the list of players starts taking shape.

The goal of the competitors for Passport to Pravets is the second UniCredit PGA Professional Championship of Europe, which will take place at Pravets Golf Club from 16 to 20 September 2012, and also the honour to represent their country individually competing for the European crown.

Several countries, among which Austria, Denmark, France, Hong Kong , Italy, Malta and Portugal, have already staged their qualifiers, and soon more names of qualifiers will be announced as others compete to join them for a shot at the European title currently held by Santos.

Finland, Greece, Slovakia and Canada plan to hold their qualifications before the end of June and the rest will quickly catch up with them in July, which is a positive sign that the UniCredit PGA Professional Championship of Europe has already established itself as a ‘must play’ event for the elite of club and teaching professionals in Europe.

Another significant sign for the quality of the championship is the recently confirmed qualification of Paul Wesselingh in the PGA Seniors Tour, who was one of the winners of the championship held a few years ago in Pevero, Sardinia.
