We would like to inform you that a new online shopping fraud scheme that uses names of bank institutions in an unlawful way is now often observed in countries close to Bulgaria. 

So far, instances of false purchases of goods on the Internet have most often been found in Austria and Hungary.  Usually the “buyer” insists that the goods be sent via courier because this is a requirement of his/her servicing bank in order to book the funds already paid by the “buyer” under the deal.  The requirement is falsified in a rather professional way and could be misleading.

In relation to this, we would like to remind you that neither UniCredit Bulbank, nor any other bank imposes requirements in relation to the realization of online sales.   If you receive a similar written requirement from your bank, we advise you to contact it immediately, not by replying to the e-mail that you have already received but, preferably, via the Call center for customers.
