Old Bulgarian capitals brought to life through children's eyes

The exhibition is the result of a joint project of the Sovereign Military Order of Malta, UniCredit Bulbank and Hug Me Art Studio, which was started in the summer of 2013.

UniCredit Studio gallery for modern art hosts a new interesting children's exhibition called Hug Me Art Studio on the Road Again. The exhibition is the result of the a joint project of the Sovereign Military Order of Malta, UniCredit Bulbank and Hug Me Art Studio, which was started in the summer of 2013. After the success of the first travel journal dedicated to the Bulgarian sightseeings included by UNESCO in the World Cultural Heritage, UniCredit Bulbank is a main partner also in the second edition.

The Ambassador of the Sovereign Military Order of Malta Camillo Zuccoli, the Vice President of the Republic of Bulgaria Margarita Popova, the Chief Executive Officer of UniCredit Bulbank Levon Hampartzoumian and the Chair of Hug Me Association Milena Neyova were among the official guests at the opening of the exhibition.

The visitors of UniCredit Studio will have the opportunity to enjoy the old Bulgarian capitals, seen and painted through the eyes of 17 children, who took part in an 8-day summer trip across the country.

During that trip a group of an instructor, a photographer, artists and an operator, together with 17 children and two associates, made a tour of the old capitals of Bulgaria. Equipped with brushes, pencils, cameras and binoculars, the children discovered old worlds and learnt exciting stories about the Bulgarian past.

The children visited Pliska, Preslav, Veliko Tarnovo, Vidin, Nikopol, Sofia and Belogradchik, which have been symbols of the Bulgarian state since its foundation to the present day. Witnesses of ups and downs, they carry the spirit of the greatness of various epochs from the historical development of our country. These ancient cities, rich in archaeological, historical and cultural monuments, are Bulgaria's bridge to the European cultural heritage.

This was an unforgettable vacation for the little travellers. The exhibition Hug Me Art Studio on the Road Again includes some of the best paintings and photos, which tell about this summer adventure.

It is open to the public, free of charge, until January 12, 2015.
