The first round of the 2015 UniCredit PGA Professional Championship of Europe gets underway today
The team of UniCredit Bulbank won the ProAm Golf Championship for professionals and amateurs in Pravets Golf Club. The competition precedes the 2015 UniCredit PGA Professional Championship of Europe, which starts today.
The ProAm Championship was joined by 21 teams and golf lovers had the chance to play side by side with famous professional golfers in the two consecutive days. The format was team stableford with 36 holes with two best strokes for each hole.
The winning team became the team of UniCredit Bulbank with PGA professionals James Johnson (PGA of Switzerland) and Joao Ramos (PGA of Portugal) together with Georgi Demirev, Galin Ganchev and Kostadin Sinapov.
The team carded a winning 177-point total. Second place in the Pro-Am fell to Nikolay Dimitrov, Valentin Krystev and Hranislav Kodjahristov who scored a combined total of 174 points with their Professionals Corsin Caviezel (PGA of Switzerland) and James McGhee (PGA in Scotland).
Third and with only one point of difference and 173 shots were ranked Dinu Pescariu, Kalin Stoya and Cornel Danila, who played with professionals Steve Parry and Darren Bragg from the UK.

The awarding of the winners in the ProAm Championship was attended by Levon Hampartzoumian, UniCredit Bulbank CEO, and Ian Randell, the PGAs of Europe's CEO.
For a fifth year in a row the golf club is hosting the PGA’s of Europe Championship. Qualified club professionals from 24 countries will take part in the four days of the championship.
The Championship continues until 17th October (Saturday), when we will know the name of the next champion of Europe.
