For yet another year UniCredit Bulbank opens doors to interns in its divisions and branches in Sofia and the country. The Internship Programme of the bank takes place for a tenth year. In the past five year alone, over 2000 youths made their first career steps in UniCredit Bulbank. In 2015, over 370 interns took part in the programme and over 140 of them stayed to work at the bank.

An internship in the largest bank in Bulgaria is a very good first career step for the young people, thinks Hristo Pangarov, Recruitment Team Manager in Human Resources Department in UniCredit Bulbank. The students get hands-on experience in a large international company, work in departments of the bank which were previously known to them only from textbooks and lectures and see how things actually work. This is very useful experience for the youths and an excellent opportunity for the bank to train and select future professionals, comments Pangarov. In 2015, around one third of all new employees in UniCredit Bulbank came from the Internship Programme.

The internship is suitable for students who have completed at least their first year of university studies. The HR department of the bank relies that they have some basic knowledge gained during the first semesters at the university. The programme is open also to graduates.

In 2016, the interns may choose to work in UniCredit Bulbank, as well as in the companies UniCredit Leasing, UniCredit Factoring and UniCredit Consumer Financing. In the bank, the interns may join the branch network in Sofia and across the country or the teams of the following departments: Retail Banking; Markets and Brokerage; Corporate and Investment Banking and Private Banking; ICT Management; Operations; Risk Management; Special Credit; Security; Customer Satisfaction Department; Marketing Department; Identity and Communications; Human Resources; Call Centre.

The internships in UniCredit Bulbank are paid and usually last between 3 and 6 months within a year. The business is actively developing practical programmes for young people.

In 2016, the programme "My Bank of the Future 4.0" is organized for the fourth year. It is aimed at stimulating students' teamwork on various banking projects.

How the young specialists see the presence of the financial institutions in the context of IT technologies was shown by events like BEST Engineer Week and BE.IT, in which UniCredit traditionally took part through proven professionals of the bank.

The bank organized also several special presentation events for students at the University of National and World Economy, Burgas Free University and University of Economics – Varna, which attracted lots of students.

UniCredit Bulbank participates in a number of meetings with young Bulgarians in London, Frankfurt and Milan in order to offer them a successful career in Bulgaria.
