Her award was presented by Tomislav Donchev, Minister of managing EU funds.

The Head of IT Department of UniCredit Bulbank received the award for IT Manager of the Year. The prize for the category "Management" was presented last night at a ceremony by Tomislav Donchev, Minister in charge of EU funds management.

"The award is recognition for the entire IT team of the bank for their outstanding professionalism and dedication," said Pepa Koleva, Head of the IT Department of UniCredit Bulbank. She added that with the cooperation of colleagues from the business units she hopes the bank will receive awards for innovations, as yet UniCredit Bulbank is to realize a large number of innovative projects.

Under the leadership of Pepa Koleva this year's IT team UniCredit Bulbank realized over 50 projects in various fields and at various scales. These include development of the implemented solution for mobile banking, implementation of CRM system, building a real-time interface between the systems of the bank and Borika Bankservice.

The competition for IT Manager of the year is held for fifth consecutive year and is organized by ICT Media and the Club of the IT managers in Bulgaria. Its purpose is to recognize the IT Managers who have contributed to the development of the business through the effective use of information technology and to raise their prestige in the company management.

Before joining the Bank in 1995 Pepa Koleva has worked in the Factory for computing in Bulgaria. She holds a degree in mathematics from the Belarusian University in Minsk.
