Global Finance: Individual and institutional investors want to work with banks that are the safest and have the most in-depth knowledge with regard to the market and the regulatory framework.
UniCredit Bulbank is “The Best Custodian Bank in Bulgaria”, announced the international finance magazine Global Finance. Information about the ranking of the world’s best custodians, the regional winners and the leaders in 82 countries around the world is published in the July/August issue of the magazine.
Together with the award for Bulgaria, UniCredit wins a total of 8 awards in the ranking. These are the regional award for “Best Custodian Bank in Central and Eastern Europe” and the first place for the banks in Austria, Poland, Serbia, Slovenia, the Czech Republic and Hungary.
The ranking is prepared by an editorial board that refers to market analyses, expert assessments, etc. The criteria include indexes related to customer relations, quality of service, competitive pricing, flexibility when dealing with more specific customer needs, use of high-technology platforms, profound knowledge of local regulations and good practices.
The economic and regulatory environment on the international markets is getting more and more complicated. The individual and institutional investors want to work with financial institutions that are the safest and have the most in-depth knowledge of the markets and the legislation. Through the ranking we show the banks that provide the best custody services on the global markets, commented Joseph Giarraputo, publisher and editorial director of Global Finance.
”The Global Finance award for the leading position of UniCredit Bulbank in the custody services in Bulgaria is an independent external evaluation which the bank receives for a third consecutive year. This is a sign of the stability of the results on a highly competitive market. The colleagues from Global Securities Services Unit work directly with the largest institutional customers of the bank and contribute to the effective management of their investments,” commented Antoaneta Curteanu, Head of Corporate and Investment Banking and Private Banking and Member of the Management Board of UniCredit Bulbank.
