The billboards on UniCredit Bulbank's buildings remain dark at night to save energy

The billboards of the two main buildings of UniCredit Bulbank in Sofia are already switched off in the darkest hours of the night - on Sveta Nedelya Square and on Gueshevo Street. The aim is to limit the consumption of electricity by calculating that when the lighting is turned off for 5 hours during the dark part of the day at an installed capacity of 8.5 kW per night should save 42.55 kW.

"It is important for us to work in an environmentally friendly way and look for options to optimize energy consumption in all operations of the bank. UniCredit Bulbank not only promotes the sustainable business of its customers, but the bank itself seeks to adapt its activities in such a way as to reduce the carbon footprint of its buildings”, said Mario Collari, Head of GBS of UniCredit Bulbank.

The bank has calculated that turning off the lights on the billboards with the bank's logo for 8 hours every night will save energy per month, equivalent to one household running the washing machine every day for nine years.

Reducing the use of electricity in the buildings of UniCredit Bulbank is part of the bank's strategy for sustainable business.
