UniCredit Group was named Best Retail Bank by the journal Retail Banker International. The prestigious annual awards are given to global financial institutions with strong positions in retail banking.

The prize was presented on a special ceremony in London during two-day conference on which representatives from the global financial elite discussed and exchanged views on retail banking developments.

UniCredit Group is awarded for its strong positions and consistent efforts to improve retail banking in whole Europe. The Group is one of the largest financial institutions in Europe with a market capitalization of about 65 billion euro. UniCredit Group operates in 23 countries, with over 40 million clients and about 10 000 branches and offices, approximately 180 000 employees and total assets of over 1 018 billion euro.

In CEE UniCredit has the largest international banking network with over 3 700 branches and offices and 27 million customers served by over 76 000 employees. In Bulgaria UniCredit Group is presented by the largest Bulgarian bank UniCredit Bulbank with over 1 million clients served in a banking network with around 260 branches and offices in the whole country.
