The youths will develop their projects in the next two months with the support of managers from UniCredit Bulbank.

Students from five universities will take part in My Bank of the Future programme of UniCredit Bulbank. These are St. Cyril and St. Methodius University of Veliko Turnovo, University of Economics – Varna, D. A. Tsenov Academy of Economics – Svishtov, University of National and World Economy, and Higher School of Insurance and Finance. The students are divided into five teams and the projects they will work on are Social network banking, Banking products creator, The Bank – media of business, FOR the next fifty years, and UniCredit App Challenge.

UniCredit Bulbank has been implementing My Bank of the Future initiative for a third year in a row jointly with the online platform www.kosher.bg. The youths will develop their projects in the next two months with the support of managers from the bank. At the same time, there will be also special trainings organized for the students.

At the beginning of December the teams will present the developed projects before a jury chaired by the director of Retail Banking at UniCredit Bulbank Tsvetanka Mincheva. One of the awards is an opportunity for the young people to start an internship with the bank in 2015.

The previous edition of My Bank of the Future programme was won by the project Overdraft covered by student scholarship, which was the first such product implemented in Bulgaria.

The student overdraft is part of the Academic League programme, which was developed in response to the specific financial needs of the academic community in Bulgaria.

FOR Education

The biggest Bulgarian financial institution works actively to support youths by cooperating with Teach for Bulgaria Foundation, supporting and participating in the initiative Manager for a Day, etc. UniCredit Bulbank works also on the programme My Bank of the Future together with the online platform www.kosher.bg. It is intended for students from different universities and academic programmes related to the banking business. In 2013, in response to the specific financial needs of the academic community in Bulgaria, the bank created a whole range of products for students and teachers called Academic League. One of these products, a student overdraft, was designed on the initiative of participants in My Bank of the Future.

Further to the opportunity to work on projects, each year UniCredit Bulbank gives a chance to more than 400 students to start an internship with the bank. The bank also supports the project Get Ready 2 Work! The purpose of the project is the integration and active employment of disadvantaged young people on the labour market by applying successful training models and programmes for labour market inclusion from Austria and Germany. In addition, UniCredit and Universities Foundation grants scholarships for Master’s degrees at top international universities in Bulgaria.
