The cheque for the donated amount was given to Marian Diankov, head of SOS Children’s Village programme, location Sofia – Radomir – Dren, on the eve of 1 June

A joint charity campaign of the consumer financing company, UniCredit Consumer Financing, and the chain of stores for white and brown appliances, Technopolis, raised BGN 6400 in support of the children from SOS Children’s Villages Bulgaria. On the eve of 1-st June the raised amount was given to Marian Diankov, Head of SOS Children’s Villages programme for the location Sofia – Radomir – Dren by Massimo Francese, Executive Officer of UniCredit Consumer Financing, and Zlatina Shivarova, Advertising Manager of Technopolis.

The funds were raised in the period 10-30 May and each of the companies - UniCredit Consumer Financing and Technopolis donated one lev for each loan disbursed for the period in the stores of the chain. In the course of the initiative in the stores of Technopolis the two companies invited their customers to “take goods on installment credit terms and donate a smile to a child for 1 June!”

“We are extremely grateful for this support which SOS Children’s Village Dren will receive once again from our friends from UniCredit Consumer Financing and Technopolis, who were very committed to the cause of the children deprived from parental care,” said Marian Diankov, Head of SOS Children’s Villages programme for the location Sofia – Radomir – Dren.

On their part the managers of the two companies donating funds also expressed their satisfaction with the successful joint campaign. “We hope that we have managed to make even more wonderful the holiday of the children from SOS Village in Dren thanks also to the commitment of our customers,” said Borislav Genov, Commercial Director, UniCredit Consumer Financing.

“Technopolis traditionally supports children and young people because they are the future of Bulgaria,” said Zlatina Shivarova, Advertising Manager of Technopolis.

UniCredit Consumer Financing has been supporting SOS Children’s Villages since 2010. Since then the company is among the large corporate donors of the association and in 2012 it became the largest donor with two large-scale campaigns supported also by its trade partners and by UniCredit Foundation, Italy.

UniCredit Consumer Financing worked in partnership with Technopolis for the second time for such a charity initiative. In 2011 in relation to the Easter holidays the two companies organized and held an initiative with the slogan “Together we collect children’s dreams”, which helped children from SOS Children’s Village Dren go to a children’s holiday camp.
