From 3th September until the end of the month the guests of Burgas and UniCredit Bulbank’s clients will recall how Bulgarian beaches looked like 50 years ago
At the end of the summer season the exhibition The Sky that Talks to the Sea which shows photographs from the 60s taken by the legendary Toros Horysian can now be seen in Burgas. From 3th September until the end of the month the guests of Burgas and UniCredit Bulbank’s clients will recall how Bulgarian beaches looked like 50 years ago.
Interestingly, the photographs were taken exactly 50 years ago when the biggest Bulgarian bank UniCredit Bulbank was established. The Bank which manages the art space of UniCredit Studio in Sofia’s downtown now marks its 50th anniversary.
In The Sky that talks to the Sea Toros Horysian’s camera flirts with every wave, every smile on the beach, every strand of hair that had flown frivolously in the wind. Each photo reveals a flair for photography and mastery. Technology pays its deepest respect to the remarkable photographic flair it finds unattainable.
In honour of the mischievous shots of Toros Horysian UniCredit Studio exhibits the summer collection in several series: “To me you are a sea siren”, “Always together”, “A trip to the sea with kids” and “Something more…” Out of respect the bank has kept most of the original photographs’ names.
The series of photographs of the Bulgarian seaside taken by Toros Horysian in the 60s evokes any other kind of emotions rather than a sense of nostalgia. The exhibition is like a fresh breeze drifting into the last summer days.
The exhibition of UniCredit Studio Gallery can now be seen in Burgas
