Tips for protecting yourself from fraud

News

Dear customers,

We would like to turn your attention to the fact that, with the holidays upon us, individuals involved in criminal activities are particularly active, and cases of telephone frauds, false messages regarding the delivery of packages and other types of fraud are increasing.

Therefore, please be vigilant and cautious in any contact with strangers requiring urgent withdrawal and transfer of funds on your part. In such situations do not, under no circumstances, proceed to execute such instructions/orders and promptly notify law enforcement authorities by calling 112.

Also, be vigilant when paying invoices, due to cases involving false invoices. Always carry out a detailed check of counterparty account number and details before ordering any transfers, especially when making a first payment to a new counterparty or if the account is different from the one into which you normally transfer funds.

There have also been fraud attempts involving text messages which request direct entry of banking and personal information under the pretext of updating customer details, including: account number (IBAN), bank card details, online or mobile banking user names and passwords.

Please note that UniCredit Bulbank AD does not and will never request from its customers, through whatever channel, to provide data related to their access to Bulbank Mobile and Bulbank Online.

When fraud is suspected, please contact our Customer Contact Centre at 0700 1 84 84 (short number 1 84 84).

Additional fraud prevention recommendations and tips can also be found on the Bank’s website.

Respectfully yours,

UniCredit Bulbank Team
