Tsvetanka Mincheva, CEO of UniCredit Bulbank, won the Banking and Industrial Management Award at the annual awards of the Atanas Burov Foundation. The prize recognises special services in the field of banking, and the winner was selected by a vote of trustees and awardees in previous years by the Foundation.

"This award is of exceptional value to me because the recognition came from fellow professionals and trustees of the Foundation. On a personal level, I have always been inspired by examples in support of socially significant causes, as the Burow Foundation certainly works to do. I try to make such a contribution in my role as CEO of UniCredit Bulbank, where together with my colleagues, we support the Foundation's activities in its quest to provide prospects for the development of talents in our field and their realization in Bulgaria. I am glad that together with the Bank's team and partners we are so committed and motivated to support initiatives in support of financial education, and through this, the development of society," commented Tsvetanka Mincheva during the award ceremony.

She gave examples of the successful partnership of UniCredit Bulbank and the Burov Foundation. In 2023, UniCredit Bulbank employees implemented about 40% of the traditional summer school program of the Foundation. Tsvetanka Mincheva explained that this year colleagues from the bank will be active participants in the initiative.

In addition, last year employees participated in the Bank's Hour, during which they met with 30 children from Trade High Schools to help them orient themselves about the practical side of the profession and advise them on their future choice of higher education.

Last but not least, as a trustee, the Bank assists the Burov Foundation in the distribution of scholarships for success, which are given to pupils and students who have shown good results in their studies. Since its inception, over 700 scholarships have been awarded under this programme.

The winner of the "Burov" prize for industrial management is Stanko Stankov owner, CEO, Chairman of the Board of Directors of "Bulmarket Group" and "Astra Finance Group".

The Burov Foundation was established in 1992 with the mission to preserve and transmit Atanas Burov's philosophy of building a democratic state and a prosperous economy through a modern financial system. The Burov Prizes for Banking are awarded to the most outstanding representatives of the financial sector in Bulgaria - heirs of Atanas Burov's values.
