For another year, the prestigious Amsterdam institute Top Employer awarded UniCredit Bulbank as a Top Employer. The Top Employers Institute programme recognises organisations based on the results of their HR Best Practices survey. This survey covers six domains consisting of twenty topics, including People Strategy, Work Environment, Talent Acquisition, Learning, Well-being, and Diversity & Inclusion.
UniCredit Bulbank is one of the six countries in the Group UniCredit to receive the Top Employer Award. Top Employer Institute distinguishes UniCredit in Austria, Germany, Hungary, Italy and Russia. This award is indicative of the Bank's activities for its extraordinary commitment to the well-being of its employees and for providing an innovative, rewarding and inclusive workplace.
“I am incredibly proud of this recognition and the reflection it has on UniCredit as a place to work. Our people are the most important element of our business. They are the reason we are able to be successful, serve our clients and impact our communities. Creating an environment that supports and challenges them, ensures they unite behind a common ambition and thrive in all they do, is a critical priority for us. We can and should always do more, but this award demonstrates that we are working from a strong foundation,” said Andrea Orcel, Chief Executive Officer of UniCredit.
The data of UniCredit Bulbank show that for the last ten years, over 5 thousand people have started working in the largest bank in the country, and a thousand of them have started from internship positions. During the same period, the bank provided over 2.5 million hours of training.
“We are happy with this acknowledgement and aware of the responsibility it brings. For UniCredit Bulbank, our people is our top priority. That is why we do not stop working and investing resources to implement various developing programs to support the improvement of professional skills and internal promotion of our colleagues. Furthermore, we focus on digitalizing and simplifying our processes to provide efficiency and flexibility when working from the office and home. Last but not least, we encourage our colleagues to participate in various innovative projects on a local and Group level, gaining international experience and adding new professional incentives because we believe that the real inspiration and driving force for the colleagues is the opportunity to be successful“, said Andrea Tognetti, Head of Human Recourses at UniCredit Bulbank.
In line with the new business strategy, UniCredit Group will be investing heavily in the digital evolution of the organisation over the next three years, and will also be focusing on upskilling digital competences, continuing to retain best digital talents and experts as well attracting new ones.
