It is now possible for the corporate clients of UniCredit Bulbank to sign their documents electronically. Companies have the option to sign, confirm and send documents everywhere and at any time without visiting a branch of the bank by means of a certified QES* or through the mobile Evrotrust application, developed by Evrotrust Technologies. After they sign electronically, the clients receive information about the status of their document from their servicing banker.
E-signing is an innovative functionality through which digital documents are signed and confirmed. By signing the electronic document the legal entity is identified and the information in the document is protected against further changes.
Raluca Popescu, Director of Corporate and Investment Banking Division, said:
“The growing need to use online banking is obvious; and it has become the banking that the legal entities which are our partners prefer. They change their way of working - they are more and more interested in remote services that do not require paper documents. We are adapting to that and are even pioneers in the new solutions. Our aim as the number one corporate bank in Bulgaria is to constantly improve the experience of the clients which choose us. More than 85% of our corporate clients already use our digital channels for their banking operations. And we are not going to stop here, but will continue towards making the experience of our clients even better."
The signing is possible after a request for a QES* for legal entities provided by a legitimate provider of qualified trust services in the EU. With regard to the Evrotrust service, the entire process is carried out online. The only thing to do is download the mobile application and register using a photo of the ID card and a selfie. Then the system automatically issues the electronic signature with the respective term of validity.
Thanks to this functionality the corporate clients of UniCredit Bulbank save time to devote to their business and reduce the paper they use.
All clients of the Bank interested in learning more about the new functionality may visit the webpage of E-signing or contact their servicing banker.
*Qualified electronic signature - issued by a trust service provider as per the Electronic Document and Electronic Signature Act (EDESA). A list of the trust service providers is available at www.esignature.ec.europa.eu/efda
