From tonight, all customers of UniCredit Bulbank with debit and credit cards VISA or Mastercard will now pay even more securely on the Internet, thanks to the 3D dynamic password introduced by the bank. The change, which takes effect from 8 pm on July 14, applies to both individual customers and companies.

The dynamic password is individual for each payment and will be received in Bulbank Mobile and Bulbank Online. It provides a higher degree of security in online payments with bank cards through in-depth verification of the cardholder.

The emergency situation we are in in recent months has expectedly led to an increase in online payments. Our data show that in the second quarter of this year, online payments with cards of our customers were nearly 20% more compared to the same period in 2019, commented Giacomo Volpi, Head of Retail Banking of UniCredit Bulbank. The increased number of payments has made it even more important for us to introduce the dynamic password not only because of the regulatory requirements, but also because of the additional security it provides, Volpi explained.

Driven by its desire to provide easy and working solutions to its customers, UniCredit Bulbank has organized the receipt of a dynamic password through its well-developed digital channels for online and mobile banking.

Thus, for all the bank's clients who want to make transactions with Internet merchants participating in the VISA Secure and Mastercard ID Check secure payment programs, it will be enough:

• To have activated Bulbank Mobile or Bulbank Online - the activation of Bulbank Mobile can be done completely remotely through the Customer Contact Center or in a convenient branch;
• Subscribe their card to receive a dynamic password in the electronic channel they use, by having a button "3D Dynamic Password" under their card.
