UniCredit Bulbank provided additional financing to one of the largest Korean electric power corporations - KOEN and to SDN - a company specialized in building solar parks.  

The successful partnership between the bank and the two companies started in 2017 when the Bank provided a loan amounting to EUR 62 m.

At the beginning of February 2020, UniCredit Bulbank provided syndicated financing together with Express Bank while increasing its financial support by granting an additional amount of EUR 9 m at an official ceremony on signing the agreement at UniCredit Bulbank International Center.

On the Bank’s side, the signing ceremony was attended by the Deputy CEO Septimiu Postelnicu and by Raluca Popescu - a Member of the Management Board and Director of Corporate and Investment Banking and Private Banking Division and the colleagues from the International Center who were working on the deal.

The Korean electric power corporation - KOEN and the company SDN specialized in the building of solar parks have already built two photovoltaic parks in the country - in Samovodene (20 MWt) and Zlataritsa (21.5 MWt).

The Vice-President of KOEN -  Young-jin Bae and the Executive Manager of SND - Joon-kyu Han were present at the official signing of the agreement.

They thanked their Bulgarian partners and expressed willingness to continue their partnership in the future.
