The award will be granted in London on the EBRD annual meeting

The respected financial magazine emeafinance has named UniCredit Bulbank as the “Best foreign bank in Bulgaria” in its annual survey of the financial institutions from Europe, Middle East and Africa (ЕМЕА).

Emeafinance announced that the award will be granted to Mr. Levon Hampartzoumian, Chief Executive Officer of UniCredit Bulbank by Christopher Moore on the EBRD annual meeting, which this year will be held on 15-16th of May in London.

“The prize “Best foreign bank in Bulgaria” is given to UniCredit Bulbank for its efforts and success in 2008”, said Christopher Moore, CEO and Publisher of emeafinace. According to his statement, the jury was impressed by the UniCredit Bulbank achievements.

UniCredit Bulbank ended 2008 as the undisputable market leader with over 1.2 million clients – individual clients, small and medium enterprises, large corporate clients. The Bank has a banking network of over 260 branches. The main focus of UniCredit Bulbank activity is customer satisfaction.

In 2008 UniCredit Bulbank was awarded as “Best Bank in Bulgaria” and “Best Equity House in Bulgaria” by Euromoney magazine, “Excellence in Custody Services in Bulgaria” by Global Custodian magazine, “Best Bank in Bulgaria in Capital, Assets and Profit” by Financial Central Europe, took an APOZ prize for corporate social responsibility in Bulgaria and many other awards as well.
