About 40 other Bulgarian brands, including media, cosmetics, wine brands, stain stores, banks, etc., received Superbrand plaques at a ceremony yesterday, late in the evening.
Unicredit Bulbank is the strongest brand in Bulgaria amongst financial institutions – these are the findings of an independent survey among consumers on the Bulgarian market on the initiative of the global organization Superbrands.
At the ceremony in the hall of Sofia University Sv. Kliment Ohridski yesterday, late in the evening about 40 other Bulgarian brands, including media, cosmetics, wine brands, chain stores, banks, etc., were awarded plaques for a Superbrand in Bulgaria as presented in a book with the same title. The organizers have informed that the methodology makes it possible to have more one than one brand entitled to be a Superbrand in a particular sector, however, it is the independent jury and the public that determine which ones are the strongest bands in the sector.

The organizers have informed that the brand selection and assessment methodology is universal for all countries with Superbrands programme. The selection process was in two stages: by secret voting of the jury of independent experts – the Board of Superbrands Bulgaria and by national voting of consumers on the Internet. This made it possible to consider the experts’ opinion in parallel to consumers’ opinion.
A partner of Superbrands for the organization of the national voting of consumers on the Internet was GFK Bulgaria.
The experts’ and consumers’ assessment process is determined by the definition and criteria of the international Superbrands organization: Superbrands is a brand which has earned itself an excellent reputation in its sector and offers significant material and emotional advantages compared to its competitiors.
Last year UniCredit Bulbank received over 15 prestigious awards from Bulgarian and international organizations for the Best Bank in Bulgaria, Bank of the client, Bank of the Year, Manager of the Year, Voluntary Initiative of the Year for employees, etc.
