• One fifth of 2010 interns have joined the Bank as employees

The largest bank in this country – UniCredit Bulbank launches its Internship Program 2011. For yet another year the bank will give a chance for career in the field of finance to students and young specialists.

As many as 356 young men and women took park in Internship Program 2010. Around one fifth were appointed as full time employees after finishing their internship. In the last three years (between 2007-2010) there was a total of 1146 students and young specialists, who took their first professional steps in UniCredit Bulbank. Around 300 of them were appointed as full time employees.

“I advise the interns to put energy in their work and not to spare efforts. My experience shows that the more active they are the more things they will learn and the easier will adapt to the team”, said Tsvetanka Mincheva, Deputy Head of Retail Banking in UniCredit Bulbank who started her career in the bank as participant in an internship program in 2001.

“The best thing about the internship is that it enables the young people to choose the right direction for their future career. And although some of the future interns do not think much of the program or consider it „just part of the compulsory curriculum“, it could become much more – an excellent opportunity for somebody to appreciate their skills and efforts and to decide to invest in their future by offering a full-time job”, said Nadezhda Vassileva, Senior Risk Manager Corporate Clients and participant in Internship program 2004.

The internship can be full time or flexible, for example, four hours a day. Its duration is three consecutive months. The interns receive a monthly remuneration, as well as a certificate for successful completion.

In Sofia the applicants for internship can choose among the following fields: retail banking; corporate, investment and private banking; credit risk management; loan administration and payments; call center; bank cards; IT; bank security; HR; business communications; identiity and communications, internal control. The applicants in the other cities can choose among: active sales of bank products and services; client servicing in the branch network; corporate banking in Bourgas, Varna, Pleven, Plovdiv, Rousse and Stara Zagora.
