The bank’s new customers aged between 18 and 25 increased by 37% over the last year
For the first time UniCredit Bulbank is offering a contactless Debit MasterCard for students at preferential terms. This product is part of the special Academic League programme for students and university professors. So far a very popular product in this programme has been the overdraft against scholarship. This is the first product of this kind created in Bulgaria by idea of students from the clubs of My Bank of the Future and the online platform www.Kosher.bg.
“The biggest Bulgarian bank is working actively to support young people not only by creating dedicated products for them which can meet their specific needs as customers, but also by making priority investments in education and supporting the professional start of youths”, commented Levon Hampartzoumian, CEO of UniCredit Bulbank.
The student Debit MasterCard has a promotional monthly fee for maintenance and servicing of only 50 stotinka. The card can be personalized by writing the name of the school, department or faculty number. Youths can withdraw money from ATMs of UniCredit Bulbank and UniCredit in Europe without fees. There is also no fee for payments at POS terminals and online payments.
All products which are part of the Academic League programme are currently offered at promotional terms. UniCredit Bulbank aims to respond to the needs of students and professors for different types of financing, savings plans, etc.
The bank’s new customers between 18 and 25 increased by 37% in 2014. Besides traditional credit and payment products, young people are also oriented towards savings. As at the end of 2014, the total amount which young people have invested in funds of Pioneer Investments is nearly 1.2 million lev.
