UniCredit Bulbank opens tomorrow its fully renovated Sveta Nedelya central branch

The inauguration ceremony will be accompanied by the opening of the first independent exhibition of the artist Gancho Boyadzhiev in Bulgaria

The fully renovated central branch of UniCredit Bulbank located at Sveta Nedelya Square will be officially opened tomorrow – 21 July 2009. Situated on two floors with total area of 4,000 sq.m., Sveta Nedelya is the biggest and the most famous branch of UniCredit Bulbank. After the renovation, the branch was divided in two areas and on the first floor only individuals are serviced, whereas on the second - companies. For the sake of convenience of the clients a queue management system was also implemented.

Daily in Sveta Nedelya over 2000 people perform their financial operations and the total number of the clients of the branch exceeds 90 000. They are serviced by 120 bank employees, working at the branch.

Tomorrow’s inauguration ceremony will be accompanied by the opening of an attractive exhibition by the artist Gancho Boyadzhiev who will present 20 of his best paintings. The modernistic style of the young artist is in unison with the modern and comfortable interior of the renovated branch.

This is the first independent exhibition of Gancho Boyadzhiev in Bulgaria. His style, the way he defines it himself, is figurative with pronounced symbolism and pop-art elements. The bank’s management has chosen namely his paintings to “adorn” the renovated branch because of his rich international experience.

Unicredit Bulbank is the biggest Bulgarian bank, a leader on the corporate and investment banking market and it is among the leading banks in the field of retail banking. The bank has one of the largest branch networks in Bulgaria - about 260 branches with nearly 4000 employees.

Brief introduction of Gancho Boyadzhiev

Gancho Boyadzhiev was born in Sofia in 1971. He specialized in oil painting on various materials and mostly on canvas. His training at the institute for foreign students (Aix-en-Provence) and the atmosphere of the Paul Cézanne art festival contributed to the shaping of his artistic culture, creative outlook and style. During the 1991-2009 period, Gancho Boyadzhiev made a number of trips, which gave him the opportunity to meet different cultures. This led to certain changes in his style of painting. In 1995, Gancho Boyadzhiev moved to Italy and since then he has been a permanent resident in Milano. He developed his style mainly in Italy. Over the past 14 years he took place in many exhibitions, cultural events and shows. He has won various competitions and has been awarded a number of prizes, among which First prize at the prestigious “Citta di San Giuliano Milanese” competition in 1997 and second prize in 1998, as well as the special award for “Original style”. He cooperates with many galleries in various Italian cities.

Some of his paintings are part of private collections in Rome, Milan, London, Aix-en-Provence and Amsterdam.
