UniCredit Bulbank received a plaque of recognition and a diploma from the Bulgarian Red Cross (BRC). The recognition is awarded for the bank’s contribution to and solidarity with the humanitarian causes of the organization in support of vulnerable groups of Bulgarian society.

“In 2011 the Bulgarian Red Cross (BRC) helped nearly 1 million Bulgarians”, said the President of BRC, Hristo Grigorov, at the organization’s donor award ceremony.

UniCredit Bulbank participates in BRC’s Warm Lunch Project through payroll donations of its employees. The funds raised by employees are actually multiplied by three by UniCredit Bulbank and UniCredit Foundation. For the 2011/2012 school year, thanks to the funds raised by all the partners and donors of BRC, 1, 321 children from all over the country received free warm lunch at school, which is worth BGN 204, 357.

Another charity initiative in which UniCredit Bulbank is involved together with Technopolis is the support to victims of the floods in Haskovo Region. UniCredit Bulbank provides BGN 55 thousand and another BGN 25 thousand are provided by Technopolis.
