At a stylish ceremony in the Italian Embassy, hosted by H.E. The Ambassador of Italy in Bulgaria Stefano Benazzo, late last night the annual awards for corporate social responsibility of APOZ (The Association for patients with cancer) were presented.
UniCredit Bulbank was recognized for “flying start” in the anti-cancer movement in Bulgaria. The Award was presented by the Head of APOZ Evgenia Adyrska to Levon Hampartzoumian, Chairman of the Management Board and CEO of UniCredit Bulbank (on the picture). “Together with UniCredit Group we started a long-term programme for support in the fight against cancer in Bulgaria”, said Levon Hampartzoumian. “The world is for the living and we want to make sure we use the most modern methods not to lose them to this illness”, he added.
Among the APOZ friends, who participated in the event, we also the Minister of Health in Bulgaria Evgenii Zhelev, The Chairman of the Commission of Healthcare in the National Assembly Borislav Kitov, leading Bulgarian doctors, members of the Bulgarian and the European Parliament, diplomats, etc.
With her magnificent performance the jazz singer Hilda Kazasian, another friend in the fight against cancer, additionally uplifted the spirit of the ceremony.
